Notoriously known internationally as the “Monte Carlo Mistresses”, the four best friends wonder what happened as they linger in a French prison. Georgetown literature professor Abbie Elliot, U.S. Olympic skier Serena Schofield, British diva Winnie Brookes and South African beauty Bryah Gordon came to Monte Carlo to stay at a luxurious hotel. After enjoying their first day, they awaken on a yacht surrounded by French police.

The “Guilty Moms” are confused with what occurred. They are unaware that their husbands watched their every move in Monte Carlo; nor that Devo, who was with Abbie is also with Winnie; and finally he was the president of France until someone shot him and his bodyguard is dead. Thus they linger in prison bewildered as each knows they never killed anyone in spite of the court finding. The quartet believes to prove their innocence; they must first escape this hellhole.

This is a fun over the top of the Eifel Tower thriller. The French courtroom is enlightening as to how it differs from that of America and the plight of the four females in prison among some hard asses. This engages the audience to root for them. Although the husbands are one dimensional and the villain(s) somewhat obvious, readers will enjoy this fast-paced suspense.
